As you can see, it has all the usual things a study has - phones, computer equipment and books. Books are the tools of a Minister's trade. Each sermon requires reading, research and prayer. It's an essay cum presentation each week. To do a good job, you need books.
Many books. Many, many books. More books. Book friends for the books. Shelves and floor space for the books. Family members who love books. Books. And they have to be old school, paper books.
I'm pretty sure Minister's compete over the size of their book collections. Most of them are not, "a right, riveting read". I've never felt the urge to borrow one. The Star Wars memorabilia is all Rev T's. But at least if they're here, they're not all over the house.
Quick, before he comes back ...
Love this tender glance into the room where it all happens.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your role in making Sunday worship happen in the world of your church family.
Thank you so much and God bless :)
DeleteThat looks a well worn seat. By cat and man! Obviously very comfy. #bigpinklink
ReplyDeleteIt's over 10 years old and is well loved. Still really comfortable though
DeleteLove it. Love the Lego too! ;)

ReplyDeleteIt is. Mufasa loves sleeping on it. Thank you for the comment :)
Deletehehe I love a good nosey. Did he catch you? My husband has a tonne of books he refuses to get rid of. I'm trying to hide them in a box! Thanks for sharing with #bloggersbesr x
ReplyDeleteI'd need a lot of boxes! Thank you for hosting each week :)
DeleteMy best friend kicked her Pastor hubby our of the house into the shed because of all the books! At least they added heating and furniture to turn it into a nice study for him. I have to say those books are very handy for borrowing when I lead the ladies Bible study group, I'm just glad I can borrow them and don't have to store them as although I love books, they do take up so much space! #Tweensteensbeyond
ReplyDeleteOur shed is falling apart so I don't think that's a plan. He'll have to keep his study. l love books too but keep most of them on my Kindle to save space. Thank you for commenting
DeleteWhat a lovely insight! Every study should have a Star Wars collection and a cat. Thanks so much for sharing with us at #TweensTeensBeyond
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it. :)
DeleteLooks like my Mum's study! (Minus the Star Wars!) I've never felt the urge to borrow one of her texts either! ;) Thanks for linking up to the #bigpinklink this week.
ReplyDeleteThank you for hosting each week :) Have a lovely day

DeleteIt's really enlightening to sneak a peak at behind the scenes of a Sunday service, and the place where it all comes together. Thanks for linking to #DreamTeam x
ReplyDeleteIt's a lot of work, plus the other stuff that Rev T does. Thank you for hosting each week
DeleteLooks like the cat is guarding his study well! Thanks for linking up to #fortheloveofBLOG
ReplyDeleteMufasa is a great guard cat! Bengals are very territorial - this is his house and we are his people. Something we didn't know when we got him.
