Beside the Seaside, Beside the Sea

Thursday, 29 June 2017

There's something about watching light on sea water ...

Spending time paddling in either brace yourself, freeze your toes off British sea or warm-like bathwater American sea.  (Sorry, but to me, warm sea water is just so wrong.  Sea water should make you scream with shock as you step in and make your body go numb.  Otherwise it's just not proper!)

Just walking along cliff tops or on the sand and feeling it between your toes ... Or just watching the tide ebb and flow ...Trying to finish eating an ice-cream before it drips down your arm ... The wind giving you a new hairstyle ...

Sadly the sea is a bit far from us so we don't just head down to the beach.  It takes planning.  Despite that, I've got some great memories of times spent with friends and family beside the seaside, beside the sea.  Being together, living this wonderful thing called life.

The water is so relaxing. I woke up and went for a run by the sea last week while we were away camping. It was my birthday and very early - there's just something magical about it! #stayclassymama

That sounds totally blissful. We've a village pond and walk around that, but it's not quite the same

I love the sea and miss it so much as I grew up in a seaside town on the east coast of Scotland, then went to St Andrew's Uni for 4 years so lived by the sea there too. Love London but miss that fresh sea air - nothing like it. #stayclassymama

I'd love to live near the sea :) Maybe I could add that to my wish list when Rev T looks for his next post. Don't blame you for missing it

The sea is my happy place I don't live near the seaside but also have so many amazing memories and always try to get to the sea when I can. I'd love to live near the sea one day. Thanks for linking up to #coolmumclub x

Sounds wonderful! I love looking at your photos. When there is no sea, you have to make do with the virtual stuff

We've just come back from a week in Cornwall where we spent every day enjoying the simple pleasures at the beach. And ice creams! Thanks for linking up to #FridayFrolics

I've been spending time beside the sea over the last few days and this weekend. I live the furthest away from the sea as you can get & it really does make me appreciate it so much more! #pocolo

I don't mind a paddle but I have a serious fish phobia and just can't handle swimming in the sea :( I'd love to get over it!

Never heard of that before. Is it just fish in the sea or fish generally?

I love the beach too. Some of my favourites are in the north coast of Northern Ireland, cold, but totally magical #fabfridaypost

I love being beside the sea too! We are lucky that it is only a 30 minute drive to the coast but I still wish that we were closer! The dream is to live in a little house by the sea..one day! Thank you for joining us at #sharingthebloglove

We live by the sea in Ireland, and I went for my first ever sea swim only a couple of weeks ago. This was quite the step for me - being French, I'm not a cold water person. Or I wasn't. Now I think I'm hooked!

I agree -sea should be cold! My mum is obsessed with the sea, and I'm fairly indifferent. She grew up by the sea and I grew up very inland - think that made a difference! Thanks so much for joining us for #FridayFrolics
