This got me wondering about what mine would be. After some thought, I choose the following items:
- My jewellry.
- My mother's powder compact as she used it everyday.
- The poem our friend Sean wrote for Rev T and I that he gave us as a wedding gift.
- My teddy, Amadeus. (No, I don't know why he's called that either). He's over 50 years old as he was "acquired" from my older sister.
- The pictures we've purchased on our family travels.
- After tidying the top of the wardrobe, I'm editing to add the Tubblet's first outfit and shoes. (I thought they'd got lost in a house move. I was thrilled to find them!)
The family and the gerbils goes without saying. Rev T will probably ask why my Kindle isn't on the list, but I think it's covered by "Tech".
What are your most treasured possessions?
Sharing with all these great Linkys
Oh such lovely treasured possessions. This has got me thinking now? What would mine be? I have a bear from childhood that has been passed onto the children so that I think and also a box with my children's firsts like curl of hair etc :-) #stayclassy
ReplyDeleteFeel free to pinch the idea. I did ;).
DeleteYou have gerbils?!! I love gerbils. I used to have several pairs. Sorry, back to the point of the post. Hard to choose just a few most treasured possessions! The poem is certainly precious indeed.
ReplyDeleteGerbils are fabulous! Ours are great fun :). Thank you for commenting
DeleteThis is wonderful. I never think of items I treasure... I will probably have things of my boys' stuff like first outfits, toys etc...to treasure now that Im a mom :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for a neat post. Love that you stll have your teddy!xx
We have the Tubblet's first pair of shoes and a few outfits ... While they're on the list, they'd be difficult to grab as they're well packed away.
DeleteAw your teddy looks very well loved. This has got me thinking about my most treasured possessions too. Thanks for linking up to the #BinkyLinky
ReplyDeleteFeel free to pinch the idea! Teddy is very well loved :). Thank you for hosting each week
DeleteLove the teddy and his name! It's so much better than just "Teddy" haha or "Fluffy" which was my rabbit's name. Sadly, I would have to say my phone is one because I used it ALL THE TIME. Umm can I say my child? haha Thanks for sharing with #StayClassy!
ReplyDeleteOf course you can! Thank you for hosting :)
DeleteThis is a beautiful post, thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe teddy is gorgeous, and I can see such a treasured item.

Gosh, thank you for the lovely comment
DeleteThis questions stumps me and it really shouldn't! We've been on a massive cull of 'stuff' so there's very little physical items that I treasure. I used to have a wonderful selection of Steiff bears donated over the years and some lovely soft toys but they were lost during a move.
ReplyDeleteThe obvious answer though is the fabled shoebox of memories and our sons' urn as they are all irreplaceable.
#PoCoLo
I think those would would be a given.
DeleteWe have a cull every year - it's amazing what you find! I thought the Tubblet's first shoes and outfit had got lost in a previous move and we still had them :) So I added them in.
I have to say photos! I have about 10 albums of my family as children, myself and Lee when we first got together and baby photos of my children. I also have a kangaroo paw brooch from my Granny - that is pretty special too. Sarah #FabFridayPost
ReplyDeletePhotos are so precious. We lost a load when we moved and I wish we could replace them
DeleteMy old photo albums. I could scan them all and preserve them better, but who has that kind of time? My comic book collection, as dorky as that sounds. Maybe my old Aerosmith concert tee. I was wearing it when I passed my drivers test and when I first *cough cough*. I guess you could call it my "lucky" shirt
ReplyDeleteBest blog comment ever!!!' I still have the outfit I wore when I first met Rev T not sure I'd fit in it still though!
DeleteLovely post my most treasured possessions have no monetary value but a lot of sentimental value Thanks for linking to the #binkylinky

DeleteThis is such a lovely idea for a post! Amadeus is so cute too. :D My own teddy, a rabbit called Betsy, would have to go on my list. She's slightly worse for wear after many years of being frequently held hostage by my younger brother (she has a big burn on her bum where he held her against the gas fire!), but I love her dearly. #KCACOLS
ReplyDeleteRev T still has his teddy as well. We refused to let the Tubblet any where near either of them. Thank you for the lovely comment
DeleteWhat a great idea. I absolutely love that poem too, so beautiful, what a great and truly special possession. Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you can come back again next Sunday xx
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the lovely comment and feel free to use the idea :)

DeleteThis post has made me think of what my own would be. The trouble is I think the list would be endless, oops! Great post :)
ReplyDelete#KCACOLS
Have a think, it may surprise you. When it came down to it, there were more things, but these were the ones that came to mind at the time of writing
DeleteSuch lovely possessions - what a lovely post. I must think what my treasured possessions would be :) #KCACOLS
ReplyDeleteIt was a really interesting process - enjoy doing it. If you turn it into a post, let me know.
DeleteI love the Sean's poem. It is priceless and so is the bear. He is so old! lol! ;) x

DeleteWhat fabulous possessions! I love that the teddy is over 50 year old and you still have something that belonged to your mother. I have a ring of my grandmothers that is freaking awesome. I plan to write a blog post about the story behind it. I also have my great grandmothers wedding ring that's over 100 years old. Love this. Thanks for linking with #momsterslink. Hope to see you again in a couple hours ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely comment and for hosting each week. I so look forward to reading those posts :)
DeleteI love Amadeus! I don't know how I would even narrow this down - I am such a hoarder of things that have sentimental value, & even worse now I have things relating to my children! #PoCoLo
ReplyDeleteI suspect that I do the post again in a few months, the list would be slightly different. It's so hard to choose just a few!
DeleteFab post - love to read what other people choose, so glad to have inspired you :) Thanks for linking to #PoCoLo and sorry it's taken me a while to get here.
ReplyDeleteNo worries, thank you for commenting, hosting and for the idea. It was really interesting to think through what I'd choose
