This is my dressing table. It's one of my favourite parts of the house. It's cluttered, the colours clash but everything is used and loved.
It was recently tidied using the always, sometimes and never rule that's used for suit buttons. Yes, this is tidy! Makeup and skin care were divided into three groups:
- Anything I always used went back onto the dressing table.
- Items I sometimes used went back on the dressing table too.
- Anything I never used was dumped. Binned if old and broken, sent to to Give and Makeup to pass on to someone who needs it if it was still good.
This is a ruthless tidying technique, but might be useful for other things. It makes you confront the unwanted clutter you're hoarding. Maybe when I'm feeling braver!
Rev T decided to prove the theory that nature abhors a vacuum and filled the space with aftershave. Pfsspt! Words were had! The aftershave stayed.
Rev T is a man who knows his own mind. He wanted to help tidy so there was even more space for aftershave. Fortunately, I got there before anyone else did:
His most recent response. The Parade of Aftershave. And special guests:
This may run and run ...
