Cass at Frugal Family asked people what they'd done this week to save money so here are mine:
Read a book from my virtual book pile on the Kindle. Instead of buying something new from my wish list.
Joined the milk club at work instead of buying my own. Giving Catherine £2 a month means there is always milk for my coffee, but no waste at the end of the week. Win on two counts!
Installed a free blog theme and tweaked the colours to get it how I liked it instead of buying one. As well as saving money, I learnt new skills too! Thank you to Zoe from Sweet Electric for the free theme.
Boots had an offer on a pack of four electric toothbrush heads so I bought one. £11.99 instead of over £22 ... That's me sorted for the year.
If you like money saving tips, or want to learn more about how I repaid my £6,000 (!) credit card debt, then look at the posts tagged money. Happy to try and answer questions in the comments too.
It's not always easy to save money at half term. The Tubblet needs entertaining. She has books to read and toys to play with, but it's good to get out and about in the fresh air too. We did the usual round of walks, museum and library visits before going to see the Grandparents.
